Pricd is a voice-to-quote mobile application designed for tradespeople operating in the United Kingdom. 3. How We Use Your Data
We use the personal data we collect for the following purposes:
- Providing the service: Creating and managing your account, enabling you to record job details, and generating professional quotes on your behalf.
- AI transcription: Processing your voice recordings through our AI transcription service to convert spoken descriptions into structured text for quote generation.
- Generating quotes: Using transcribed data alongside your pricing inputs to produce accurate, formatted quotes for your customers.
- Improving the service: Analysing anonymised usage patterns and performance data to enhance app features, fix issues, and develop new functionality.
- Customer support: Responding to your enquiries and resolving any issues you experience with the app.
- Legal compliance: Meeting our legal and regulatory obligations, including fraud prevention and responding to lawful requests from authorities.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
We rely on the following legal bases under the UK GDPR to process your personal data:
- Contract performance (Article 6(1)(b)): Processing is necessary to provide you with the Pricd service, including account creation, voice transcription, and quote generation.
- Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)): We have a legitimate interest in improving our service, ensuring security, and preventing fraud, provided these interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.
- Consent (Article 6(1)(a)): Where required, we will obtain your explicit consent before processing certain data, such as optional marketing communications. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us or adjusting your app settings.
5. Third-Party Processors
We share your data with trusted third-party service providers who process data on our behalf. All third-party processors are bound by data processing agreements and are required to handle your data in accordance with UK GDPR. These include:
- Cloud hosting providers: For secure storage of your account data, voice recordings, and generated quotes.
- AI transcription services: For converting your voice recordings into text. Recordings are processed securely and are not used by third parties for their own purposes.
- Analytics providers: For collecting anonymised usage data to help us understand how the app is used and where we can make improvements.
- Payment processors: For handling subscription payments securely. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy:
- Account data: Retained for the duration of your account and for up to 12 months after account deletion to allow for reactivation or to resolve any outstanding matters.
- Voice recordings: Retained for up to 90 days after transcription is complete, unless you choose to delete them sooner via the app.
- Quote data: Retained for the duration of your account. You may delete individual quotes at any time through the app.
- Usage analytics: Anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be linked back to you.
When your data is no longer required, it will be securely deleted or anonymised in accordance with our data retention procedures.
7. Your Rights Under UK GDPR
Under the UK GDPR, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data. You can exercise any of these rights by contacting us using the details provided in Section 12.
- Right of access: You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification: You have the right to request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Right to erasure: You have the right to request that we delete your personal data, subject to certain legal exceptions.

Pricd is a professional tool designed for tradespeople and is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a person under 18, we will take steps to delete that data promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us using the details in Section 12.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email before the changes take effect. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
